HUBER ENGINEERED WOODS ZIP SYSTEM™ ROOF SHEATHING

Technical Notice: April 25, 2007

TAMKO Building Products^®, Inc. (“TAMKO^®”) will warrant its fiberglass/asphalt shingles when properly installed over Huber Engineered Woods ZIP System™ Roof Sheathing (as configured and manufactured as of the date of this notice). The sheathing must be applied in accordance with the requirements of Huber Engineered Woods.

Compliance with building code requirements is the responsibility of the design professional and contractor. Huber Engineered Woods ICC-ES Report ESR-1473 describes fire classifications for asphalt shingle systems installed directly over ZIP System™ Roof Sheathing. TAMKO’s Underwriters Laboratories fire classification requires the use of an asphalt saturated underlayment to achieve a Class A rating.

TAMKO shall not be responsible for performance, deficiencies, or movement of the roof deck and/or
improper application of the roof sheathing. This document is not intended nor should it be construed to
modify or alter the terms of TAMKO’s Fiberglass/Asphalt Shingle Limited Warranty.
